HACKMATACK
CHILDREN'S
THEATRE DRAMA CAMP
Summer is on its way! That means it's time for a fun and exciting session of children's theatre classes at one of New England's most prominent professional theatres!
Hackmatack's summer camp program is a fabulous way to encourage young people's natural abilities through theatre games, music and self-exploration. Our classes are structured to energize the student's imagination, build self-confidence and cultivate an appreciation for live theatre and music. Working in a group fosters cooperation skills, trust and risk taking abilities. Studying performing and singing helps build confidence and self-esteem by encouraging students to speak up, be clear and be supportive of each other. All students are expected to respect themselves and each other by talking, listening, expressing and appreciating each other's work.
Children's theatre classes at Hackmatack Playhouse utilize a wide variety of theatre games and improvisation exercises to help students develop their skills in acting, voice, movement/and and singing. It all comes together in the performances of PINOCCHIO, presented in our historic barn theatre!
Drama Camp classes are held at the Playhouse on Rt. 9 in Berwick, ME., Mon-Fri, 9am till 12 noon, beginning June 26 with performances of the musical PINOCCHIO on July 28th & 29th and August 4th & 5th at 10:00 AM. This dynamic program is open for children ages 7 - 15 at a tuition cost of $250 per student. Family discounts for two or more children will be $175 for the second and each additional child.
